Welcome to all new and existing members.  We are now three weeks into
the season and finally had our first taste of summer on Sunday - long
may it last!  Enrolments this year have far exceeded our expectations
and to-date we have over 350+ children registered.  This unfortunately
reflects in our supply of togs (or lack of) and Louann has had to place
an additional order with our supplier.  We will let you know as soon as
these are available.  However, If you need a beanie these are now in stock.
 
/*Reminder for this weekend:*/  A Group (Ages 8-9 only) are at the
Millennium Swimming Pool, Antares Place, Mairangi Bay for their 200m
badges.  A Group (7 year olds) are at the beach as normal.
 
*_Upcoming Courses/Events_*

    * *COACHES COURSES*

We had a number of people attend the coaching course last Saturday and
it was great yesterday to see all our new coaches using the skills they
had learnt at the course. 
The _next coaches course_ is scheduled for _Saturday 1 December at Red
Beach_.  Please contact me by this Sunday 18 November if you wish to attend.

    * *OFFICIALS COURSES*

We are also looking for people to become officials to help run our
carnivals.  There is an _officials course_ on _Sunday 25 November at
AMRC, Mechanics Bay, Auckland City_.  Registrations for this course
close on Friday 16 November.  If you would like to help our club in this
way please contact me asap before midday Friday.

IT IS A REQUIREMENT FOR OUR CLUB TO PROVIDE ONE OFFICIAL PER TEN
CHILDREN AT EACH CARNIVAL. IF WE DON'T MEET THIS REQUIREMENT OUR KIDS
CANNOT COMPETE - so please help out if you are able.

    * *1ST CARNIVAL - MAIRANGI BAY*

We also need _general helpers/officials to run our carnival at Mairangi
Bay on Sunday 9 December_.  Should you be available to help please
contact me.

    * *CHRISTMAS PARADE*

As a reminder Mairangi Bay Junior Lifeguards participate in the Mairangi
Bay Christmas Parade.  Should your children wish to take part in our
float (surf boat) please meet at Mairangi Bay Park by no later that
11.00am on Saturday 24 November wearing club clothing (including beanie).
 
 
In closing, I hope your kids are enjoying themselves at the beach and
should you have any concerns or questions please don't hesitate to
contact your group co-ordinator or myself.
